The Big Brother 16 rumors are continuing to fly…and we’re continuing to round them up for you!
If you haven’t read our ‘Rumor Round-Up’ from yesterday you can do so HERE to get caught up on all of the latest happenings.
Yesterday’s rumors were pretty wild and they didn’t slow down today. The infamous @Corner_Office16 Twitter account resurfaced today. During the pre-season of Big Brother this account is normally always a presence and this season is no exception.
The person running this account claims to have a source deep in the Big Brother universe that is giving them their information. Corner Office is saying that this season will in fact feature returning players but is downplaying the ‘Veterans vs. Relatives’ idea and is instead saying the season will be more reminiscent of Big Brother 13 that just featured ‘Veterans vs. Newbies.’
Not only did they make a claim as to what the theme will be this season, they also revealed 11 former players that are thought to be in main mix to return to the house this summer. They are stating that there are other names being tossed around still and that all of the people listed won’t necessarily make it into the house (there definitely will not be 11 returning players if it’s ‘Veterans vs. Newbies’).
Here’s a graphic that was posted of the possible returning players this season:
I have to say that I am a bit surprised and skeptical of some of the players featured on this list.
The players listed that don’t surprise me for obvious reasons are Ian, Danielle Reyes, Kaysar, Eric, and Matt (to an extent). While everyone else on the other hand, is kind of a surprise.
As for Jen Johnson, I have always thought that the show wouldn’t want to deal with her again after she broke food restriction and burned Evel Dick’s cigarettes after being nominated. Although if it will make for good television I guess they would put up with pretty much anything. Jen was nothing if not good television but I don’t think she has much to add to the game if we’re going to judge her on her previous performance.
I’m also not really sure about Russell, Michelle, & Danielle Murphree. I’m not attacking any of them personally, but I don’t think any of them were great Big Brother players and none of them were all that popular on their season. I could see Russell and Michelle in the sense that they were explosive at certain times in the game but that’s pretty much it. I would be absolutely shocked to see Danielle back.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Kevin and Kalia back to play again. I thought Kevin was actually a really great player and should’ve won Big Brother 11 even though it didn’t pan out. If he was sitting at the end he would’ve won for sure — especially after the lie he told Jeff. Kalia wasn’t very popular during Big Brother 13 but I do think she probably learned a lot about the game after playing the first time and I think she could come back and be a really good player.
I doubtful of this list for many reasons as I think most fans would be. I don’t see the show putting Ian, Eric, and Matt on a season of the show together. All three of them are pretty much the character — they are all extremely smart super-fans of the show. I just don’t see it happening.
As for clues on Twitter — Ian’s tweets are a tad suspicious lately. He tweeted a weird picture from a Houston baseball game but wasn’t featured in the photo which is slightly reminiscent of Janelle’s Greece story before Big Brother 14. Take a look below:
The picture was later discovered by Twitter user @DartMatrix to be taken directly from this Wikipedia page. The tweet has since been deleted. However, I do think about the fact that Ian is a superfan of this show and it so closely resembles Janelle’s Greece situation that he could easily just be messing with fans. He knows how the pre-season rumor mill works.
Danielle Reyes tweeted a few weeks ago that she would be taking a break from Twitter until the premiere of Big Brother 16 which now seems slightly suspicious as we get closer to the beginning of the season. She denied being asked originally but that’s certainly not a confirmation that she won’t be on the season.
Kaysar suddenly popped back up on Twitter all of a sudden after having not tweeted since September 5, 2013. He’s also been retweeting tweets from fans saying “get Kaysar on BB16.” That’s a little weird and it seems like someone might be running the account for him.
Also, Big Brother casting director Robyn Kass stirred up the rumor mill again today as she dug up some photos of her with past houseguests from every season of the show that she has been involved with. Could it be a hint at returning players? Is Robyn just messing with the fans? Or is she simply reminiscing on good times with the BB family? Hmmm…check out the photos HERE.
That’s all I’ve got for now…but I’m sure there will be much more to come in the near future so stay tuned!
