Union Pacific Releases Statement Regarding Spencer Clawson!

by Matt Richmond on July 6, 2013

Union Pacific, The railroad company that Spencer Clawson works for has released a statement regarding his homophobic and racist statement’s that he’s made while on the current season of Big Brother.

Here is their statement in full:

The values represented by Spencer Clawson’s comments during the Big Brother show do not at all align with Union Pacific’s values. Mr. Clawson is on unpaid leave of absence while participating on Big Brother. Union Pacific does not condone his comments.

Union Pacific is acting in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement terms regarding Mr. Clawson.

Spencer is now on unpaid leave while on the show. It’s unclear if he was already on unpaid leave or if this started after the comments he made. The company has yet to fire him.

Two other BB15 contestants, Aaryn Gries and GinaMarie Zimmerman, have both been let go from their jobs for making homophobic and racist comments in the house.

I agree with you Sarrina! I haven’t seen where BB has even addressed this, if they have, & I just missed it, I do apologize!

sandyh July 6, 2013 at 7:06 pm

I Agree All That WAS Taped doing this needs to be KICKED out. I was Rooting For Spencer and after the Words .This Year I am So Not Liking….It.. May Get Mad and Stop Watching…

MPG July 6, 2013 at 9:01 pm

I agree!

Ivan July 7, 2013 at 5:11 am

CBS please set an example!

Mary July 6, 2013 at 6:05 pm

I honestly think that the actions and nasty comments of the house guests are just unconscionable. This is live television!! I am ashamed and appalled at the unmitigated gall of these young people. Big Brother should take immediate action against this racial and homophobic slander and send the offensive houseguests PACKING.
By allowing these actions and comments to go unpunished CBS is saying its OK to be a racist .

MPG July 6, 2013 at 9:08 pm

BB doesn’t seem to be doing anything because this has been going for a couple of weeks. Jessie, Aaryn and Ginamarie should have been dismissed a long time ago. Maybe, BB thought the controversial would boost the rating. Wrong! Rating are down and people are outraged about these comments being made against their race and sexual preferences.

Susan July 7, 2013 at 12:54 am

I agree Mary! There are lots of kids that watch this and I hate to think that it’s setting the example that this kind of behavior is acceptable.
I can’t believe CBS is allowing it!

Michelle July 6, 2013 at 6:38 pm

It seems to me that this kind of thing happened in a year before and BB did do something about it maybe not..if they have not they should. I just don’t know how I feel about this season at all. Used to be I would get excited for BB night just don’t have that anymore and I have been watching since season 1.

William Edens July 6, 2013 at 7:03 pm

I don’t like what is going on with all the comments and stuff. I also think CBS should do something to these individuals we are in 2013 not 1960.

Pam July 6, 2013 at 7:15 pm

CBS has been asking for this type of stuff since they started a reality show with live feeds. People need to get a thicker skin and get over themselves about what others say. Not one of you can say you’ve never made a comment that has offended someone. Start worrying about the real problems and move on.

MPG July 6, 2013 at 9:27 pm

Are you human? If, you can “dismiss” hate than I’m wondering are you a part of the human race. We watch reality shows for entertainment purposes and not to feel like are race or sexual preferences are being attack through BBHGs that is playing the game. Thank you!!

Pam July 6, 2013 at 10:52 pm

I can over look remarks made on a reality TV show. Also looks like you need to finish school or go back & learn to spell. I’m guessing you’re so young you haven’t even gotten into high school yet. Especially if you watch this for entertainment. LOL

Debb Maldonado July 6, 2013 at 9:06 pm

Band the show-dont watch anymore. Its the only way the media knows, NO RATINGS-NO SHOW. Production can easily toss all four out-Spencer, Jeremy(bully),Aaryn and Gina. Replace them…….new contestants or old. All I know are these four should not be given the opportunity for airtime and possible win.

Rachel July 6, 2013 at 9:09 pm

There is a petition on change.org you can sign to expel Aaryn from the house. Google change.org and Aaryn Gries and you should be able to find it. I signed it :) If there was a petition to kick them all out I would sign that too.

MPG July 6, 2013 at 9:12 pm

Thanks, I will.

MPG July 6, 2013 at 9:11 pm

BB is messing up by not taking action. I’m not really “feelin” BB too much like I use too.

Rocky July 6, 2013 at 10:58 pm

All I have to say about all this is that whomever did the screening for this years contestants should lose their job.

Susan July 7, 2013 at 12:59 am

Hmpf! You must be Aaryn’s boyfriend or relative! Aaryn is hateful and it is pathetic that a grown woman treats others the way she does. I liked her the first few days of the show, but now she’s shown her true colors I don’t care to watch her anymore. I hope she gets kicked out for her hatefulness.

tim July 7, 2013 at 2:11 am

jackyl, you sound ridiculous. you preach how the united states of America gives us right to free speech and in the same breath you threatened us with a pipe bomb remark which is a very sensitive thing to say to americans being bombed by planes and the marathon in boston, so i’m guessing you aren’t American and should just shut the fuck up before we tap your phoneline and deport you back to your fucking country or jail you in Guantanamo bay, asshole.

Nathalie July 7, 2013 at 5:20 am

Did anyone notice On the Live feed when Amanda was talking to McCrae and Andy, she said” Hey Helen, I bet you cant drive!” and ” Hey Helen, I bet you’re good at math!” Wow. This is the most racist cast ever in the History of Big Brother. All of these people should be kicked off the show… Unbelievable..

Beth July 7, 2013 at 8:44 am

I’m glad everyone here is voicing opinions. I’m really having trouble watching the season this year. I also think Jeremy is horrible towards women.

deniseblack July 7, 2013 at 12:16 pm

it would be to much trouble to fire aran, gena and Jessie and spencer for their remarkes on the racial side for the show has already started what I would do let the games began since they have already began and not let them partispate in any challenges that you can win money trips or prizes and put all four of them on slop together. if they are on the block they will play the game out includeing the veto if they win veto they cant save them selves with the veto and will automatically go home no votes nesseciarry

valeriewitt July 8, 2013 at 3:38 pm

I think BB did the best thing they could do by showing the offinsive footage. ayran is a colledge student when she leaves the house she will go back to school with other asian, african american, and gay students. the best part is that everyone who made these coments dont know what is happening out of the game. they wont know what hit them. I think howard will take some flack too. i know he is playing a game and he dosnt have to hit anyone. but he has every chance to say im offended by what your saying and letting the other house guest know what being said behind their back that will gain the trust of other house guest.

valeriewitt July 8, 2013 at 3:42 pm

CBS cant punish them for there beliefs but they can expose all of them for what they are. and let their peirs punish them.

Johnny July 8, 2013 at 10:18 pm

I think CBS should leave them on the show. Let them make even more comments. With each comment they will dig a deeper hole for themselves. They will prove that their employers were right to let them go. They will prove over and over again what dirtbags they are. They will have no room for backpedaling when they finally do leave the show

valeriewitt July 9, 2013 at 6:35 pm

I agree this was the best thing BB and CBS could of done let the world see them for what they are hateful biggets .
